Advantages of WRO for Southern Africa |
|
- teams do not have to pay as much to enter this competition |
|
- teams are small and easy to manage
...( 1 x coach and 2 or 3 team members) |
|
- WRO has 3 different age groups for each of the catergories
...( primary, junior high and high ) |
|
- teams can use either the RCX kits or the NXT kits and any software |
|
- teams can enter both FLL and WRO |
|
- WRO competition dates and times are far more flexible - will not be run during school holidays when many team members are away |
|

2010 - South Africa's 1st Award
The Table Mountain Monkeys received SA's first ever award at a WRO Championship. They were placed 8th in the High School Open Category.
