Summary of Final Report on the Outcome Assessment of the Care
for Education Project: “Developing Talents through Creative Play” in
Atteridgeville Township

This report provides an overview of the evaluation conducted by Southern
Hemisphere Consultants regarding the effectiveness, outcomes and
impact of the Care for Education Project. This project was implemented in
11 primary schools1, ten of which are situated in Atteridgeville, a township
located within the western area of Pretoria, South Africa. The evaluation
made use of quantitative and qualitative multiple methods of investigation,
including a document review, semi-structured interviews, surveys and focus
group sessions. A total of 1 211 respondents participated in the research
process and, following the compilation of a final report, the assessment
was subject to academic review and received a qualitative endorsement
from Professor Nel, a registered clinical and research psychologist.
