When does the Olympiad take place?

The Olympiad theme, as well as the various regular category obstacle courses are made known towards the end of March every year.  Regional competitions in South Africa take place during June and July with the National Robot Olympiad towards the end of Aug.
Teams that perform well at the NRO stand a chance to be invited to the WRO to represent South Africa and compete against the best teams from all over the world.

 

History

The 1st NRO for South Africa was held on Sat 4th of September 2010
at Irene Shopping Mall.

The 2nd NRO took place on Sat 23rd of July 2011
at Tshwane University of Technology. See photos
